A little over a year ago, Apex Legends owned by Electronic Arts, a well-known battle royale game for PC, consoles, etc., made its debut on the mobile platform. According to game play, aesthetics, and strategy, the game was incredibly entertaining, and most players all over the world adore it. The battle royale shooter Apex Legends: Mobile has gained popularity. In fact, it most recently took up the Google Play Store’s prize for best overall game.

However, the game has been unable to maintain its enthusiasm in terms of user popularity and expansion. The game’s creators claim that as time goes on, it can’t generate the cash it had hoped. So, on January 31, 2023, they made a firm decision after almost a year. The game will be totally shut down at 4:00 PM PDT on May 1st, 2023. The majority of Apex Legends: Mobile’s player base becomes dejected at the announcement. According to the majority of gamers, it was the developers’ worst choice. However, because the decision has already been made, there isn’t much anyone can do.

However, Apex Legends: Mobile’s player base cannot suffer in silence. Players from all across the world decide to take action to prevent the game from being shut down. Twitter is trending with the hashtag #SaveApexLegendsMobile as Apex Legends Mobile users ask Electronic Arts to change their mind.

Incoming All New Fourth Season

Before the game’s closure in May 2023, Apex Legends: Mobile just decided to post its final patch notes for the fourth season. It appears like they executed this properly this time, as evidenced by the fact that gamers are flocking to the game. The fourth season of the mobile game will introduce Olympus, a new battle royale area that was initially introduced in the PC version of the game in 2020. The newest Legend for the mobile game, Horizon, was also declared to be included with the next patch.

Aside from these, the update also includes new tournaments, including ranked, legends, and elimination tournaments. Additionally, two game modes with limited availability—lightning combat and deja loot—will be available. So, players are now urging with Electronic Arts to reverse their plan to close the game after this excellent update, which is set to go live on February 15. FAQs answered by Apex Legends Team

The team addressed potential queries that people could have in the commonly asked questions area. They made it very clear that virtual money and in-game transactions will be available till May 1, 2023. According to the agreement with Electronic Arts, refunds for in-game purchases are not available. After May 1st 2023, mobile players won’t be able to access the game. However, the PC and console versions may still be accessed as normal because the game is platform-independent.

Will Electronic Arts change the Decision?

Although Daniel Ahmed of Niko Partners recently disclosed that just 0.68 percent of gamers from Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa had played the battle royale game in the previous three months, Electronic Arts hasn’t yet revealed what factors led them to decide to end Apex Legends Mobile’s operations. This may be a significant factor in the closure of the mobile game.

As a result of the game’s numerous flaws, glitches, and other faults that made playing difficult at first, a good number of players initially took issue with the developers. The community required fresh content and improved platform optimization at the same time. Many gamers have taken notice of the unexpected introduction of Season 4, that will serve as a memorial tour, and they are imploring with EA to continue Apex Legends Mobile’s activities.

My point of view

If someone were to ask, I would say that I also adore the game and have been playing it ever since it was released. I fell in love with this game because of the character designs, their special skills, the play style, visuals, and the free legends with battle pass. I’m both delighted and sad about the new, impending Season 4. And I just cannot accept this news, namely the closure of Apex Legends: Mobile. Therefore, as a gamer, I also ask the EA team to reconsider their choice to end the game. Even if COD is releasing COD Warzone Mobile, another battle royale game. I hope the game’s creators and the EA team will take the players’ suggestion into account when deciding whether to keep the game alive or not.

Tell me in the comments what you think, guys. Should the game’s creators continue with it ?

Thank you
