Microsoft New Plan !! Google Play Store Competitor

With discontinuing Windows Phone in 2019, which actually started its existence in 2010, Microsoft no longer has a mobile operating system. Microsoft is investing on making its services available on Android rather than developing a mobile version of Windows.

With the Surface Duo, Microsoft has also established itself as an Android OEM, and the business has even established an internal Android division. Panos Panay is in charge of the new division “Android Microsoft Platform and Experiences.” The Surface Duo OS team and other engineers who work on Android services are part of the mobile division. It appears that the Android division and the Xbox team will soon work together to launch a new Android mobile shop.

Microsoft intends to build its own app store to take on Google and Android because it doesn’t want to give up on mobile. In addition to serving the demands of gamers, Microsoft’s first mobile app store may also contain Android applications made by the business, like To Do and Launcher.

According to Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox at Microsoft, the business is going to create a Google Play Store competitor but will first concentrate on the gaming market. He also added, “regulators clearly back us when we talk about opening up mobile and becoming a viable third-party option on those devices, but we’re a long way from there today.”

Unfortunately, we have no information regarding Microsoft’s Google Play Store competitor or how it would even function, but it is reasonable to assume that Microsoft’s app store will only be available on Android smartphones. When the government accepts the Activision Blizzard deal, we could hear more about the hidden Play Store competitor service.

Microsoft is a Big Android Fan

As was already noted, Microsoft is adamant that making its services available on Android might improve the mobile experience. Further bringing Android and Windows closer together is its devoted Android section.

The team has undergone a number of internal adjustments that will result in better and more frequent upgrades for Microsoft’s mobile apps. This demonstrates Microsoft’s commitment to investing in Android and its belief that the Google-dominated mobile OS represents a fresh approach to bridging the gap between PCs, consoles, and mobile devices.

According to Windows Latest, Microsoft has “huge” ambitions for Android and Windows integration in the future, with new capabilities initially appearing on Samsung Galaxy phones. In addition to software, Microsoft also intends to introduce a foldable phone as the Surface Duo 3’s replacement. The Duo 3 might be comparable to other foldable phones currently on the market and include an internal foldable screen with built-in 180-degree rotation.

Nevertheless, we are unable to provide you with an exact time frame for any of these events as of yet. Hence, don’t accept anything here at face value. If Microsoft releases any fresh information, we’ll keep you informed.
